The city on Wednesday witnessed a unique puja event of two films, one starring actor Mohanlal and another one with his son Pranav Mohanlal in the lead. At the event held at a city hotel, the pujas of Odiyan starring Mohanlal and Aadi starring Pranav were held.

Aadi is being directed by Jeethu Joseph. The filmmaker was tight-lipped about its subject, other than the fact that Pranav will be doing the title role. He said he had been facing a lot of questions from everyone about the kind of role Pranav would be essaying and details on the storyline. There had been huge anticipation around Pranav’s debut as a hero. Mohanlal said that he believed in personal freedom and never interfered in his son’s decisions.

Child actor

He had earlier starred as a child actor in Mohanlal’s Onnaman and also put in a very brief appearance in Sagar Alias Jacky .

He had also assisted Jeethu Joseph in two of his films. The motion poster of the film was also released at the function.

Odiyan , starring Mohanlal, is the debut directorial of ad filmmaker Shrikumar Menon.

New look

A motion poster of the film, revealing the actor’s new look for the film, was released online on Tuesday. Both films are being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirwad cinemas.

The shooting of another Mohanlal film, Velipaadinte Pusthakam , directed by Lal Jose, is on in the city.
