KV Pattom librarian gets award

S.L. Faisal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, has been selected for this year’s IASL School Librarianship Award instituted by the International Association of School Librarians (IASL).

Mr. Faisal has been actively working for the enhancement of school librarianship in India. He is a member of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) National Library Policy Evaluation Committee, which drafted the KVS school library guidelines.

Mr. Faisal is also the author of the CBSE Curriculum Committee for the subject ‘Library and Information Science.’

The award is the premier recognition of services to school libraries internationally. —Staff Reporter
