The CPI(M)’s recent leadership conferences in the district discussed ways to protect black money holders, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president Kummanam Rajasekharan has said. He was speaking after inaugurating the valedictory of the south zone rally led by BJP State general secretary M.T. Ramesh.

He said the CPI(M) did not have time for discussing people’s issues of ration, drinking water and housing. Instead, their leaders are discussing controversies, he said. “The CPI(M) has now become a party of black money holders and big businessmen. The government led by the party is denying the rights enshrined in the Constitution to the people. The opposition UDF, which is supposed to challenge the government, is drowned in group fights,” he said.
