97th Indian Science Congress to be held in Thiruvananthapuram

The 97th Indian Science Congress will be held at University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, from 2010, January 3 to 7. This is the first time that the Indian Science Congress is being held at Thiruvananthapuram.

It is considered a golden opportunity for students and research scholars to attend the premier science event of the country. This annual meeting of scientists, science managers, policy makers and students promotes interaction of organisations and individuals interested in science and provides thrust and direction to science in the country. About 7,000 delegates including National and International scientists and Nobel laureates are expected to attend the Congress. Invited lectures, plenary sessions and symposiums based on 14 different sections of science will be a part of the science congress. University meet, space summit, science exhibitions and children’s science congress are some of the other highlights of it. Attendance is through registration. The organising committee has asked those concerned to register before November 30 to avail concessions. Registration fee covers the cost of accommodation for students.
