The police have arrested 640 persons involved in various cases as part of Operation Felon.
The operation was launched on April 24 to prevent illegal activities and bring criminals before the law. It focussed on arresting persons involved in various criminal cases and goonda activities and drug dealing.
Special combing operations were taken up by a team led by the City Police Commissioner between April 24 and May 5. Notorious criminal Peelu Binu and goonda leader Biju were among those arrested. Also arrested were Katalan Binu and Kulathil Satheeshan accused in many criminal cases. The police also arrested 513 persons who were accused in warranty cases.
