50 industrial units in Titanium land

The government proposes to establish 50 industrial units in one-and-a-half acres of land owned by Travancore Titanium Products Ltd. at Kochu Veli, Tourism Minister A.P. Anil Kumar has said.

The State government would go ahead with the Rs.4-crore Shanghumughom Beach beautification project. A regional centre-cum-Management College of the Cochin University of Science and Technology would be established in the city. The Syndicate had given its nod to set up the regional centre-cum-Management College, he said after inaugurating tourism-related projects at Vettukadu Church on November 14.

Road repair

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Health V.S. Sivakumar said the All Saints College-Veli-Madhavapuram- Station Kadavu road would be repaired at a cost of Rs.8 crore before the launch of the National Games.

The Environment Impact Assessment for setting up a fishing harbour at Valiathura had been completed, Mr. Sivakumar said.
