Five persons were injured after a speeding car overturned after hitting an autorickshaw and an electric post at Kowdiar late Friday night.
According to the police, the incident occurred near Raj Bhavan by around 11 p.m. According to available information, those injured have been identified as Adarsh, Ananya, Gouri, Shilpa and Sajikumar.
As per preliminary information, Adarsh, who drove the car, lost control of the vehicle as he rammed an autorickshaw that went ahead, following which the car rammed the post and overturned.
While Adarsh, Ananya and Gouri were rushed to a private hospital with serious injuries, Shilpa has been admitted to the Medical College Hospital.
Sajikumar, the driver of the autorickshaw, has also been admitted to the MCH with head injuries.
