Excise enforcers on Friday seized 18 kg of sandalwood at Parassala. They arrested two bus passengers in connection with the seizure. They are Maria Das of Thuckulay Kalkulam and L. Sundar of Chidambaram in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu.
Officials said the suspects were carrying the sandalwood chips in two bags. They were travelling to Kerala from Tamil Nadu on a public transport bus when they were arrested.
