150 chairs for Central railway station from MP fund

The chairs were procured using Rs.5 lakh on the occasion of Railways’ nationwide observance of Customer Facilitation fortnight.

The Central railway station here on Tuesday received 150 chairs for rail users on the occasion of Railways’ nationwide observance of Customer Facilitation fortnight.

The chairs, procured using Rs.5 lakh from the MP Local Area Development (MPLAD) fund, were handed over by T.N. Seema, MP, to Divisional Railway Manager Sunil Bajpai at a function held at the station.

Ms. Seema said she was ready to make available funds for constructing a comfort station at the second entry to the railway station on Power House Road. Mr. Bajpai said special drives and campaigns would be held during the fortnight. Special attention would be given to sanitation, punctuality, and catering services. Customer interaction, vigilance checks, special yoga, and medical check-up for staff would also be taken up. Additional Divisional Railway Manager P. Mahesh and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager V.C. Sudheesh spoke.
