15 injured in bus accident

Around 15 persons sustained injuries after a KSRTC bus rammed a compound wall near Kattakada on Monday.

According to the police, the incident occurred at Anchuthenginmoodu by around 6 p.m. when the bus, which was headed towards Kattakada from Thiruvananthapuram, rammed a boundary wall of a house.

The driver of the bus, 46-year-old Anil Kumar, sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to the Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College Hospital. As many as 14 passengers suffered minor wounds.

The driver is suspected to have lost control of the vehicle after one of its tyres burst, the police said.
