The District Youth Congress activists on Sunday morning staged a protest near the Circuit House where the BJP national president Amit Shah was staying.

The protest was to condemn the atrocities on Dalits reportedly by right wing activists. It was also against the murder of Praveen Poojary in Brahmavar and other attacks on cattle transporters.

The protest was led by president of the District Youth Congress Mithun Rai. The police were present in good number at the gate of the Circuit House. As the protesters made an attempt to enter the Circuit House, the police took them into their custody and released them an hour later.
