Yeddyurappa will visit Udupi on Aug 13

Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa will be visiting Udupi district on August 13.

A press release issued by the Department of Information here on Monday stated that Mr. Yeddyurappa would participate in the valedictory of the conference on civic bodies at noon at the Ammanni Ramanna Shetty Hall, which would be part of the platinum jubilee celebrations of the Udupi City Municipal Council (CMC).

Mr. Yeddyurappa will visit the district Bharatiya Janata Party office here at 2.30 p.m. and inaugurate the ‘Karavali Hasiru Kavacha' (Coastal Green Cover) project at Brahmavar in Udupi district at 3 p.m. This project is aimed at preventing beach erosion in coastal districts by encouraging the cultivation of mangroves along the shore.

Mr. Yeddyurappa will hold a meeting with district-level officials here at 4.30 p.m. and leave for Mangalore at 5.30 p.m., the release said.
