Lauren Lovelace, Consul for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs at the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai, moderated a roundtable discussion on ‘Promoting Inclusive Entrepreneurship’ at the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry here recently.
A release quoted Ms. Lovelace as saying: “Mangaluru is a historic and ongoing hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. I especially enjoyed meeting with so many entrepreneurs who are helping women enter the market. In their daily lives, they are embracing this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) theme of ‘Women First, Prosperity for All’.”
The event was part of a slate of programmes planned by the U.S. Mission in India leading up to the GES, the pre-eminent annual gathering of emerging entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders from across the world. The United States and India will co-host GES 2017 in Hyderabad from November 28 to 30. U.S. President Donald Trump’s senior advisor Ivanka Trump will lead the U.S. delegation.
GES 2017 is expected to be attended by over 1,600 delegates and will focus on the tremendous potential women bring to entrepreneurship, the release said.
