Unable to bear mother’s death, man ends life

Police identified him as Ujwal (30)

A man committed suicide by jumping into a well at Kedar in Udyavara village coming under Kaup police station limits on Thursday night. The police identified the deceased as Ujwal (30).

His mother, Rajashri, who was working in a hotel, had accidentally slipped and fell while getting down the steps at Sachidananda Residency here and died on February 16.

The death of his mother is said to have shocked Ujwal, who took the extreme step.

A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Kaup police station with regard to Ujwal’s death, while a case of unnatural death was registered in the case of Rajashri’s death at the Udupi Town Police Station.

Investigation is on in both the cases, the police said.
