Two held on charge of trying to sell ganja

The City Crime Branch police on Saturday arrested two persons on the charge of attempting to sell ganja procured from Andhra Pradesh.

The police seized 9.5 kg ganja and two mobile phones from them. The seized materials were worth ₹2.3 lakh.

The police have given their names as Zunaid, 30, son of Abdul Rahman, of Sheshadripuram in Bengaluru and Abdul Kareem, 25, son of Ibrahim of Kudmar in Puttur.

They were allegedly trying to sell ganja to students and others in the city. They were arrested near Pumpwell.

Kareem is an accused in a case of dacoity registered in Bellare police station earlier, a release said.
