Two cruise vessels called on New Mangalore Port on Saturday. Legend of the Seas, a cruise vessel with 1,707 passengers and 795 crew members and Pacific Princess with 585 passengers and 378 crew members called at the port, said a release.

Legend of the Seas came from Kochi and has passengers from 40 countries. Pacific Princess, with passengers from the U.S. and the U.K., came from Phuket. Both vessels sailed out to Goa.

Around 2,000 passengers and crew visited various locations in and around Mangalore such as Mangaladevi Temple, Gokarnatha Temple, St. Aloysius Chapel, cashew processing units, the monolithic statue of Lord Bahubali at Karkala, Soans farm and the thousand-pillar Jain basadi at Moodabidri and went for city shopping.
