The police have arrested two persons allegedly involved in the kidnap of 24-year-old Safwan, a resident of Chokkabettu near Surathkal, on October 5 this year. They are now verifying information whether the kidnapped victim was murdered.

The police gave the names of arrested persons as Mohammed Faizal Ibrahim Sheikh (36) of Moodbidri and Sahil Ismail (22) of Krishnapura. The two were arrested from a house on S.V. Road in Bandra (West) in Mumbai on Sunday.

The police said that the arrested persons told them that they murdered Safwan in Karkala and dumped the body somewhere in the Agumbe Ghat. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Hanumantharaya said that they are verifying the information.
