Tulu film Ekkasaka to be released tomorrow

Another Tulu cinema will hit the cinemas in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi on May 1.

Produced by Lakumi Cine Creations the film ‘Ekkasaka’ (plenteous) will be released in 11 cinemas in the two districts.

It features Sonal Monteiro, a native of Padil, as the female lead and Hitesh Naik, a native of Maravoor and now working in Mumbai, as the male lead.

Addressing the media here on Wednesday, its director K. Sooraj Shetty said that it would be a romantic comedy. Kishore D. Shetty, one of the producers, said that the film has been shot in the surroundings of Sringeri, Kaup and Mangaluru.

It would feature comedy actors such as Naveen D. Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor and Sundar Rai Mandara. Kannada television and film actors such as Padmaja Rao, Sudha Belavadi, Achyuta Rao and Tennis Krishna have also acted in it.

The film has seven songs. Ravi Basuru who was the music director of Kannada cinema ‘Ugram’ is the music director of Ekkasaka.
