Train from Coimbatore to Bikaner via Mangalore

The service starts from Saturday

Local tourists who have always wanted to explore Bikaner, the Rajasthani city of forts, temples and sand dunes, will now be able to do so with greater ease as a direct train to the city is starting services this Saturday.

The train has one First Class AC, Four 2-tier AC, eight 3-tier AC, two Guard-cum-Generator coaches.

The superfast train will run from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu to Bikaner via Mangalore Junction.

The regular service of the train will commence from September 15 from Coimbatore and from September 20 from Bikaner.

During monsoon season, up to 31st October, Train No.22476 Coimbatore–Bikaner Express will leave Coimbatore at 3.20 p.m. on Saturdays and will reach Bikaner at 5 p.m. on Mondays. From Bikaner train No. 22475 will leave at 5.45 a.m. on Thursdays and reach Coimbatore at 4.35 a.m. on Saturdays.

During non-monsoon season i.e. from November 1, train No. 22476 will leave Coimbatore at 3.20 p.m. on Saturdays and will reach Bikaner at 12.25 p.m. on Mondays.

Train No. 22475 will leave Bikaner at 5.45 a.m. on Thursdays and reach Coimbatore at 02.50 a.m. on Saturdays.

The Bikaner-bound train will arrive at Mangalore junction at 10.25 p.m. and leave at 10.35 p.m. on Saturdays. The Coimbatore-bound train will arrive at 8.40 p.m. and leave at 8.50 p.m. on Fridays. During non-monsoon season, the Coimbatore-bound train will arrive at 7.25 p.m. and leave at 7.35 p.m.

The train will also make a stop at Palakkad, Shoranur, Kozhikkode, Kannur, Mangalore Junction, Udupi, Bhatkal, Karwar, Madgaon, Kankavali, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Roha, Panvel, Vasai Road, Vapi, Surat, Ankleshwar, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmadabad, Mehesana Junction Palanpur, Abu Road, Marwar Jn, Palimarwar, Luni, Jodhpur, Maria Road Junction, Nagaur and Nokha.

The introduction of the train was announced in 2012-13 railway budget and it was inaugurated on September 12, in Bikaner.
