Three teams to probe into Gangolli clashes

The district police have formed three teams to trace the accused who were responsible for the group clashes at Gangolli village in Kundapur taluk on November 27. In a press release issued here on Wednesday, Superintendent of Police P. Rajendra Prasad said that already eight cases had been registered with regard to the clashes. The investigation into these cases was being done by the Assistant Superintendent of Police K. Annamalai. “The three teams will trace the accused as soon as possible. The police will take stern action against anyone trying to create communal disharmony or disobeying laws,” he said. The public have been urged to cooperate with the police.

Protest

Meanwhile, a protest was held in Gangolli on Wednesday, demanding action against those responsible for the outbreak of fire at the Jamia Complex in the village on November 29.
