The Hindu EducationPlus career counselling in city tomorrow

The Hindu EducationPlus Career Counselling session will be held here at Geetha S.M. Shetty Hall, Sri Ramakrishna College, Bunts Hostel from 10 a.m. on May 24. The entry is free.

P. Jagajeevandas Bhandary, an official from the Karnataka Examinations Authority, and Vamadapadavu, principal, Government Pre-University College, will make a presentation and answer questions on the counselling and seat allotment process for students who have written the Common Entrance Test and/or the Undergraduate Entrance Test.

Rajesh Gratian D’Souza, head, department of civil engineering, P.A. College of Engineering, Nadupadavu and administrative officer P.A. Educational Trust Institutions will talk on how to select courses and institutions and throw light on engineering courses.

B.V. Manjunath, chief interventional cardiologist, and professor and head of cardiology, A.J. Hospital and Research Centre and Medical College, will guide students on medical education and career. Shoaib Valai, a career counseller from Career Information Guidance Market for All (CIGMA), Bengaluru, will speak on general education and career opportunities.

K. Naveen Shetty, principal, Sri Ramakrishna College, Mangaluru, will release the ‘The Nxt Step’, our free handbook having well-researched articles. Students can take home a free copy of it.

The session is back to lend a helping hand to students on the threshold of pursuing higher studies to embark on a career. The annual event which will help students and their parents get the right perspective on choosing a career, will feature experts to offer information on the ‘how’and ‘what’ of courses that interest you.

State Bank of India is the title sponsor of the events.
