Surfing festival on Sasihitlu Beach

A three-day India Open Surfing Festival will be organised on Sasihitlu Beach here from May 27. Tourism Minister R.V. Deshpande released a brochure at a function at Dr. Shivaram Karanth Pilikula Nisargadhama on Sunday. It will be organised in association with Mulki-based Mantra Surf Club and Kanara Surfing and Water Sports Promotion Council. The categories in the event include under-16, junior boys (17-22 years), seniors men 22-28 years, masters men 28 and above and women’s category. There will be an open men’s category for international surfers.
