Southern Railway will run Chennai Central-Mangalore Central-Chennai Central Special trains on September 8 and 10 from Chennai and on September 9 and 11 from here to clear the rush during Ramzan.
According to a press release, the train (no. 0631) will leave Chennai Central at 8.35 p.m. on September 8 and arrive in Mangalore Central at 1.30 p.m. the next day. The train (no. 0632) will leave here at 5.25 p.m. on September 9 and arrive in Chennai Central at 10 a.m. the next day.
On September 11, the train (no. 0640) will depart from Mangalore Central at 2.15 p.m. and reach Chennai the next day at 7.45 a.m.
The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod. Train nos. 0631 and 0640 will stop at Coimbatore also while train nos. 0632 and 0640 will stop at Podanur and Perambur also.
The Southern Railway will also run Chennai Central-Mangalore Central Special (no. 0625) via Coimbatore, and Mangalore Central-Chennai Central Special (no. 0626) via Podanur on September 13 from Chennai and September 14 from here to clear the rush during Ganesh festival.
The advance booking for these trains will commence on Thursday.
