Southern Railway will operate two special trains, one from Kochuveli to Mangaluru Junction and the other from Mangaluru Junction to Chennai Central, to clear the extra rush of passengers.
Train no.06171 Kochuveli-Mangaluru Jn special will leave Kochuveli at 10 p.m. on January 16, stopping at Kollam, Kayamkulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyannur, Kanhangad, and Kasaragod and arrive at Mangaluru Junction at 11.45 a.m. the next day.
The train will have two 2-tier AC coaches, three 3-tier AC coaches, 12 Sleeper Class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
Train no.00637 Mangaluru Jn-Chennai Central Suvidha Superfast special will leave Mangaluru Junction at 7.55 p.m. on January 17, stopping at Kasaragod, Kanhangad, Payyannur, Kannur, Thalassery, Vadakara, Kozhikode, Tirur, Kuttipuram, Shoranur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, and Perambur and arrive at Chennai Central at 11.55 a.m. the next day.
The train will have two 2-tier AC coaches, three 3-tier AC coaches, 12 Sleeper Class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans, said a release from Southern Railway.
