Six injured in two accidents

Six persons were injured in two accidents on the outskirts of the city on Monday evening. Two of the injured persons are in a critical condition. All the injured have been hospitalised.

Ansar and Imram from Bengre here were seriously injured when the motorcycle they were riding was by an ongoing private bus around 3 p.m. near Gurupura Kaikamba. While the two were coming towards Mangalore, the bus was bound to Bajpe. The two have been admitted to a private hospital.

In the other accident four persons in a car returning from N.R. Pura in Chickmagalur were injured when the was hit by a bus bound to Moodibidri around 6 p.m. near Polali Kaikamba. The accident occurred when the car was taking the Mangalore – Moodbidri Road at a junction. Mathew (50), Vergese (60), Sneha (20) and Riya (20) are admitted in a private hospital. The police have seized buses involved in the accident and have arrested the bus drivers.
