SFI demands rollback of bus fares

The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) has demanded immediate rollback of bus fares in the wake of steep reduction in diesel prices.

According to a release, SFI Dakshina Kannada president Nithin Kuttar said the diesel price has come down sharply following drastic fall in international crude prices. Private bus operators, who demand fare hike whenever there is increase in diesel price, should now bring down the bus fares, he demanded.

The SFI urged the Deputy Commissioner to take steps in this regard, the release added.
