September 08, 2013 10:36 am | Updated June 08, 2016 06:48 am IST - MANGALORE:

A city court on Saturday directed the woman police to investigate an allegation of sexual harassment made by a woman officer against Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) T.R. Jagannath.

The order was passed by the court of the Third Judicial Magistrate First Class Undi Majula Shivappa on the private complaint filed by the officer on Saturday. This complaint was filed following an inquiry by a panel formed on the directions of Mangalore Police Commissioner Manish Kharbikar exonerating Mr. Jagannath of any wrongdoing.

In her private complaint, the officer said the inquiry panel was inconclusive on the allegations she made against the ACP.
