Self check-in kiosk at airport

January 10, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:58 am IST - MANGALURU:

Airports Authority of India (AAI) has set up a self check-in kiosk at domestic departure lounge at Mangalore International Airport.

The Director of the airport J.T. Radhakrishna inaugurated it on Friday.

As of now, Jet Airways would allow its domestic departing passengers to use this facility. The Air India would allow its passengers to use this facility soon.

With this, a passenger with hand baggage need not go to the conventional check-in counter to take the boarding pass. S/he could straight away go to the self check-in kiosk.

First a passenger has to touch the logo of the airliner s/he would be travelling in at the kiosk. After that, they have to enter the PNR number of the ticket or the flight number and other details. The boarding pass will be generated and printed.
