SBI to open NRI branch

The State Bank of India will open its first non-resident Indian (NRI) branch in the State, at Bejai in Mangalore on March 12, according to B.A. Sathyamoorthy, Regional Manager, Regional Business Office, of the bank here.

The branch will offer various services including savings bank account, current account, term deposits, special term deposits, non-resident (ordinary) account, foreign currency non-resident accounts. In addition it will provide services such as instant transfer of funds.
