District in-charge Minister B. Ramanath Rai said the Janata Darshan programme – where citizens can air their grievances to elected representatives – will be conducted in all taluks in a three-month cycle. With the conclusion of the first such programme in Belthangady on Wednesday, the next programme will be conducted in the taluk three months from now, he told the gathering.

Local MLA K. Vasant Bangera said “at least” three such consecutive programmes were needed to solve the issues presented on Wednesday.

The next Janata Darshan is scheduled to be held on November 12 for Bantwal taluk, announced Mr. Rai.
