Rains bring in some relief from the heat

Scanty to moderate rainfall across the district since Sunday midnight brought in some respite to residents from the summer heat.

Till Tuesday morning, Mangaluru city had received 2.2 mm rainfall even as several areas in the district reported to have received moderate rainfall.

The maximum temperature recorded in Mangaluru during the last 24 hours was 35 degree celsius while the minimum was 25.4 degree celsius. The Indian Metrological Department has predicted partly cloudy sky during the next three days with possibility of rain or thunderstorms.

The city had been reeling under scorching the sun since two weeks.
