People of Malemar staged a protest on Monday against the bad condition of roads and lack of development in the area.

Prabhakar Poojary of the area said that the Malemar-Nekkilagudda area was divided between two wards and there was confusion over the jurisdiction of the councillors.

This was the reason for lack of development. Kumar Malemar said during monsoon, people faced hardship as rainwater entered their houses for want of drains. Buses avoided the area because of the bad road, he said. He said Mayor Praveen was yet to visit the area .
