Poojary urges CBI probe into Ravi’s death

Senior Congress leader B. Janardhana Poojary on Tuesday demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation should probe Monday's unnatural death of IAS officer D.K. Ravi in Bengaluru. The probe should also investigate the reasons for his sudden transfer from Kolar in November, he said.

Mr. Poojary told a news conference here that he suspected the involvement of politicians in the death. No one should be spared if found guilty of the death of the honest and upright officer, he said.

He recalled a recent meeting where Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had praised Mr. Ravi for his honesty.
