Police on the lookout for 20 “naxalites”

Two “naxalites” named in the FIR, in connection with Saturday night's encounter, carry rewards on their heads.

They are Vikram Gowda of Hebri near Udupi (Rs. 5 lakh) and Sundari of Belthangady (Rs. 1 lakh).

The following are the 20 suspected “naxalites” the police are on the look out for:

Those carrying a reward of Rs. 5 lakh:

B.G. Krishnamurthy of Sringeri, Hosagadde Prabha from Tirthahalli, Neliguli Padmanabha from Koppa taluk in Shimoga.

Lata from Mundagaru village near Sringeri, Kanyakumari from Moodgere near Chikmagalur.

Vikram Gowda from Hebri near Udupi, and A.S. Suresha from Moodgere near Chikmagalur.

Those carrying reward of Rs. 3 lakh:

Ramesh, alias Shivakumar from Koramangala, Bangalore, and Veeramani, alias Eshwar, from Bangalore.

Those carrying reward of Rs. 1 lakh:

Savitri from Kalasa near Chikmagalur, Vanaja Jalajakshi from Kalasa, Bharati, Manoj, Kalpana from Raichur.

Sundari from Belthangady, John alias Jayanna, Sirimane Nagaraj from Sringeri.

Ravindra from Kigga near Sringeri, Sringeri and Noor Zulfikar.

The posters with their photographs had been displayed at several prominent areas in Mangalore, Udupi, and Chikmagalur.

However, the posters pasted at the KSRTC bus-stand in Bejai in Mangalore were removed on Sunday.
