Painting competition held

As many as 150 students from different schools in the city took part in the “Love Nature” painting competition at the St. Aloysius Higher Primary School on Friday.

The competition was organised jointly by the eco, art and health clubs of the school.

Inaugurating the programme, Rector of St. Aloysius Group of Institutions Dionysius Vaz lauded the idea of making children exhibit their love for nature through art. He said this was the best way to create awareness among children about the need to protect the environment.

In-charge Headmaster of St. Aloysius School Gopalakrishna Bhat, eco club coordinators Shalma Saldanha and Edna Mascarenhas, art club coordinator John Chandran and health club coordinators Praveen Lobo and Noel Menezes were present on the occasion.
