NIA announces Rs. 25,000 for Madagaon accused

A two-member National Investigation Agency team on Wednesday visited Kadaba, 83 km from Mangalore, in search of Jayaprakash, an accused involved in the blasts in Madagaon in 2009.

The two NIA inspectors pasted a notice of proclamation issued in the name of Jayaprakash, who hails from Balthila village in Kadaba. Jayaprakash is one among the four accused that the NIA is looking for in the case. As many as six persons have been arrested in connection with the blast. A low intensity explosive went off on October 16, 2009 near the Grace Church Marg in Margao, killing Malgounda Patil and Yogesh Naik, who are said to have come to plant the explosive.

According to Kadaba police, Jayaprakash’s parents and his elder brother stay in Balthila village. Jayaprakash left the village along with his wife and son eight years ago. Parents and his brother do not have any contact with Jayaprakash.
