‘Modi, Shah visits can’t dislodge Congress govt.’

Congress activists take part in road show

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said here on Tuesday that any number of visits by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will not help in dislodging the Congress government in the State.

Addressing party workers at Surathkal and in Nehru Maidan during the Janaashirwada Yatre, Mr. Siddaramaiah said that Mr. Adityanath came to Mangaluru and tried to divide people of Karnataka.

“But voters of Gorakhpur taught him a lesson by defeating BJP in the recent Lok Sabha bypolls.”

Congress activists from different parts Dakshina Kannada took part in the road show by Rahul Gandhi from the Ambedkar junction to Nehru Maidan in the city. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President S.Parameshwar and other Congress leaders accompanied Mr. Gandhi.
