The new market building at Bejai will be inaugurated before September 15, according to J.R. Lobo, MLA, Mangaluru City South.

Addressing presspersons here on Monday, he said that it has been planned to move the make-shift market at Kulashekara to the new building near the police station building.

Referring to completing the railway underpass work at Padil-Bajal railway level crossing he said that there was a need to acquire land to a length of 40 ft. to complete the approaches to the underpass.

Convene meeting

The MLA said that the Legislative Assembly Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa has directed the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayatraj to convene a meeting of three departments, with revenue and urban development departments being the other two, shortly to sort out issues relating to 9/11 forms.

Currently, presenting extracts of form no. 9 (tax fixation register) and form no. 11 A (tax demand and collection register) is compulsory for registering and mortgaging properties. It has affected many people, he said.
