Man arrested in alleged possession of explosive case from Mangaluru

The Bengaluru police in association with the Mangaluru police have arrested a person suspected to be associated with three persons recently arrested for alleged possession of explosive material.

Mangaluru Police Commissioner S. Murugan gave the name of the arrested person as Riyaz Zaibi, aged around 30.

According to Mangaluru police, Zaibi from Bhatkal, was on his way to Dubai. He was arrested at the Mangaluru International Airport on Saturday night.

Mangaluru Police Commissioner, S. Murugan said the police were on the look out for the arrested person for the last few days. On a tip off, the way police apprehended him at the airport.

Bengaluru’s Central Crime Branch (CCB) police are questioning him. Details about the arrested person will be released by the Bengaluru police, Mr. Murugan said.
