The Kodethoor Udupa Family Foundation Trust felicitated Ramdas M. Pai, Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), here on Tuesday.

The trust, which was recently registered, with K.B. Udupa, Scientist, Phoenix, Arizona, U.S., as trustee and chairman, K. Bhuvanabhirama Udupa, editor, Yugapurusha, as secretary, and N. Udupa, Director of Research, MAHE, as convener, felicitated Dr. Pai for his contribution to the fields of education, healthcare and community services globally.

This is the first activity of the trust which will organise three endowment lectures annually in Health Sciences, Technology and Innovation, Literature, and publications in MAHE. The first endowment lecture on Health Sciences will be delivered by H. Vinod Bhat, Vice-Chancellor, MAHE Manipal, here in November 2018.

“The trust will give scholarships to students and contribute financially for treating poor patients in Manipal group of Hospitals,” according to Dr. N. Udupa.

H.S. Ballal, Pro Chancellor, MAHE, Poornima Baliga, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Health Sciences, were present.
