A 10-year-old boy died after he was struck by lightning at Nettanige Mudnoor in Puttur taluk on Thursday afternoon.
Headmistress of the Government Higher Primary School, Menala, Sarojini said in the complaint that Nityananda had gone to wash his hands after lunch around 1 p.m. when a bolt of lightning struck him. According to the police although he was immediately rushed to the government hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.
