‘Lifestyle Show' from today

This four-day extravaganza is being held at T.M.A. Pai Convention Centre

The people of Mangalore will be treated to a four-day shopping extravaganza with the opening of “ The Hindu MetroPlus Lifestyle Show 2010” here on Friday.

A wide range of products from all over the country will be on display at the exhibition. Chairman of the Karnataka Bank Ltd., Ananthakrishna, will inaugurate the event on Friday at 11.30 a.m.

The Lifestyle Show, which attracts around 90,000 visitors annually, is being organised in Mangalore for the first time. Presented by Samsung, the show will be held from May 28 to 31 at the T.M.A. Pai Convention Centre here.

Products from different States will be displayed in the 60 stalls spread across a 5,000-sq.ft. area. A wide range of products in consumer electronics, computer and IT products, furniture and furnishing, kitchen accessories, home appliances, jewellery, textiles, arts and handicrafts, beauty and healthcare products, home needs and gift items will be on display. The products of Samsung, which is sponsoring these Shows since they were launched at Chennai six years ago, will be on display. Since their launch, the Lifestyle Shows are being organised in all the metros and tier-II cities, every year. Entry fee is Rs. 10 a person. The show will be open from 10.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. With a large number of people setting up the stalls and making necessary arrangements at the venue, the preparations for the were in full swing at the T.M.A. Pai Convention Centre on Thursday evening. Stall-owners were there at the venue on Thursday itself and were eagerly waiting to occupy their places and arrange their products for the display. A jewellery-seller from Kolkata said that this was the second time she was participating in The Hindu Lifestyle Show, as her first experience with the show was quite encouraging.
