Lifeline Express to offer treatment at Kumta station

Lifeline Express, the hospital on wheels of Impact India Foundation, will be stationed at Kumta Railway Station in Uttara Kannada district on the Konkan Railway network from October 31 to November 19. It will offer free consultation, treatment and surgeries in various specialities.

A release from Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. said the hospital can be accessed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to provide medical check-up to people in the areas of cataract, crack lips, orthopaedic issues, and ear and dental problems.

Eye check-up and spectacle distribution will be conducted from October 31 to November 3, while eye surgeries will be conducted from November 1 to 6. Ear check-up and surgeries will be conducted between November 7 and 13. Crack lips and leucoderma check-up and treatment will be done between November 14 and 16.

From November 14 to 17, polio check-up and surgery will be offered. Hydrophilic and hernia treatment and surgery will be done from November 17 to 19. Tests, treatment and surgery for breast and uterine cancer will be offered from November 1 to 14, during which period tests, treatment and surgery for mouth cancer too will be conducted.

Dental check-up and treatment will be offered between November 1 and 13, while treatment for fits will be offered on November 11 and 12. Family planning treatment will be offered from November 4 to 11. For details, call 08386-223778 or 08386-222021.
