Lecture on Gandhian principles held

The Manipal Centre for European Studies (MCES) recently organised the first ever lecture series titled “Gandhian philosophy and contemporary world” here to mark the 80th anniversary of the Salt Satyagraha.

A press release issued by the Manipal University on Thursday stated that the programme was also the first big event for Gandhian and Peace Studies, a postgraduate diploma course under the MCES.

Veteran journalist and honorary director of the Manipal Institute of Communication M.V. Kamath recalled certain events from the freedom movement. Director of the Manipal Centre for Philosophy and Humanities Sundar Sarukkai spoke.
