Labour and industrial disputes hearing

Various offices of the Labour Department would remain open on Saturday to hear disputes regarding labour and industrial matters and other claim issues. The offices would remain open following directions from the district legal services authority. Workers and employers may utilise the opportunity to get their grievances redressed, said a release.

Felicitation for Heggade

A public felicitation has been organised for Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Veerendra Heggade for receiving the Padma Vibhushan at Moodbidri on Sunday by his well-wishers. The grand event would be held at the Alva’s Palace Grounds, Vidyagiri, from 5.30 p.m., said felicitation committee honorary president N. Vinay Hegde, working president M.N. Rajendra Kumar and convener M. Mohan Alva in a release.

Puttur treasury upgraded

The government has upgraded the office of the sub treasury, Puttur, as the office of the Assistant Director, Puttur sub treasury.

Workshop on

welfare schemes

A workshop to disseminate information on various welfare schemes being offered by the labour department is organised at Roshani Nilaya School of Social Work auditorium on Friday. Mangaluru South MLA J.R. Lobo would inaugurate the workshop at 10.30 a.m. in the presence of district legal services authority member secretary B. Ganesh and Mayor Jacinta Alfred.
