Krishnaswamy Natarajan, Inspector-General (IG), West, of Indian Coast Guard, who has been promoted as Additional Director-General (ADG), recently assumed charge as the Coast Guard Commander (Western Seaboard).
Mr. Natarajan will now oversee the strategically important and sensitive coastline of two Coast Guard regions — West, including Lakshwadeep and Minicoy Islands, and Northwest (Gujarat). The Flag Officer, who joined the Coast Guard on January 18, 1984, has specialised in Search and Rescue as well as Maritime Safety and Port Operations from the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve Training Centre. He is an alumnus of the Defence Services Staff College.
