KJP hits out at governments

Ashok Kumar Shetty, president of the district unit of Karnataka Janata Party (KJP), on Saturday held both Union and State governments responsible for the difficulties faced by the people in Udupi district. Addressing presspersons here, Mr. Shetty said the widening of National Highway 66 in Udupi district had come to a standstill for over a year due to the internal problems of the company executing the work. Oscar Fernandes, AICC General Secretary and Rajya Sabha member, and K. Jayaprakash Hegde, Udupi-Chikmagalur MP, should explain to the people of the district why the work had stopped .

He blamed the State government for the power crisis in the State.
