Karnataka Bank’s net profit up 31 per cent

City-based private sector bank Karnataka Bank Ltd. posted a net profit of Rs. 123.12 crore for the half year ended September 2013, said a press release. Operating profit has increased Rs. 101.45 crore to Rs. 429.15 crore, a year-over-year growth of 31 per cent.

The bank’s turnover grew 14.41 per cent to touch Rs. 64,483 crore at the end of September 2013, as against Rs. 56,363 crore at the end of the corresponding period last year. Deposits grew 12 per cent to Rs. 38,014 crore. Advances grew 18 per cent to Rs. 26,469 crore.
