Members of Akhil Bharathiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Thursday paid their last respects to Sachin Goyal (21), a student who had succumbed to injuries after being stabbed allegedly by members of Campus Front of India at Kannur in Kerala.

Gathering at the Wenlock Hospital, where the autopsy was conducted, Ramesh, State secretary of Akhil Bharathiya Vidyarthi Parishad , said that Sachin was in a critical condition after an altercation with members of Campus Front of India over enrolment in a degree college at Kannur on June 16.

Ban sought

He called for a ban on Campus Front of India and Popular Front of India (PFI), both of which, he alleged were behind attacks on ABVP activists in Kerala.

O. Nidheesh, ABVP State secretary, Kerala, said a college bandh was observed in Kerala on Thursday.

Many cases

He alleged that this was not an isolated incident, and there were many criminal cases against both the organisations.
