Kannada Sahitya Parishat conference in Udupi from today

The two-day conference of all district-level office-bearers and taluk-level presidents of Kannada Sahitya Parishat would be held here on September 29.

Parishat district unit secretary Ambatanaya Mudrady told presspersons here on Wednesday that such a conference was held for the first time in the history of the parishat. Nearly 400 delegates from different parts of the State would be participating in the conference.

The conference would discuss the programmes of the parishat. Executive committee meeting would be held at the Sharada Kalyana Mantapa on September 30. This would be followed by the general body meeting.

The former president of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat State unit Harikrishna Punaroor would inaugurate the conference at the Nutana Ravindra Mantapa on the MGM College campus on September 29. Kannada Sahitya Parishath State unit president Nallur Prasad would preside.

Already 200 rooms in various hotels in Udupi and Manipal had been booked he said.
